We do very little marketing as a business, most of our new customers are referred to us through existing or previous clients, through local word of mouth or quite often the architects we have been working with over the years, but I have for some time now been a member of a local BNI chapter, Maidenhead previously and for the last few years in Reading.
During 23/24 I stepped into the role of President and I have enjoyed leading the chapter alongside Amanda Fielding and David Barson, both of them made my job so easy and without them, I don’t think we would have had the most amazing year. Thank you, you have been the best.
BNI is the world’s largest referral networking organisation and there are millions of pounds of business is referred every year in the UK, and I am proud to be a member of one of the Reading Chapters. BNI is one of the only paid marketing we do at Elivate (alongside the Green Book, in which we have placed a small advertisement every year since we launched) BNI takes commitment and time and our chapter meets every Wednesday at 6.45 am where we pass tens of thousands of pounds of worth of business between each other every month. I wouldn’t be a member if it didn’t generate good-quality sales leads for Elivate.
We are now in our new venue, we moved on Valentine’s Day (A good time to spread the BNI love) and we are thrilled with the service and breakfast offering from the Calcot Golf Club, I know other chapters don’t have such a great selection of venues to choose from, but we have been very fortunate and this is such a great way to close my year as President.
I will be handing over at the end of March to the new leadership team for the BNI Inspire Chapter, I am excited to share with you that Kate Hulcoop-Allen is taking over the reins as the new President and she will be supported by Katie Whelpdale as the new Vice President and Paul Cowan as the new Secretary-Treasurer. I know they will do a superb job leading us through the next year.
If you are looking to grow your business in Reading and want to join us for breakfast one week, please get in touch with anyone mentioned above or book in yourself using this link
